Damage potential of maize fall army worm (FAW), varies from 9.0 % to 62.5 on different seasons and in regions India. FAW threatens food nutritional security millions farmers Here is the first record a new host barnyard millet study its biology. The infestation began seedling stage extended till reproductive stage. During stage, larva caused scrapping leaf cut central shoot, resulted drying which resembled dead heart symptom. In vegetative it defoliation leaves also whorl damage. There were no parallel hole symptoms observed as like maize. egg duration was 2.8± 0.83 days. Larva usually had six instars with life period 3.2± Days, 3.0± 0.70 2.4± 0.54 2.6± 3.4± 0.89 Days 6.0± for I VI respectively. total larval ranged 17 23 days mean 20.6± 2.07 Pupal adult 8.8± 1.30 10.2± 2.04 cycle under laboratory condition 42.2± 4.26
